Beaufils ranges to assess the cotton nutrient status in the southern region of Mato Grosso Rev. Bras. Ciênc. Solo
Serra,Ademar Pereira; Marchetti,Marlene Estevão; Rojas,Enrique Pouyú; Vitorino,Antônio Carlos Tadeu.
The relationships between nutrient contents and indices of the Diagnosis and Recommendation Integrated System (DRIS) are a useful basis to determine appropriate ranges for the interpretation of leaf nutrient contents. The purpose of this study was to establish Beaufils ranges from statistical models of the relationship between foliar concentrations and DRIS indices, generated by two systems of DRIS norms - the F value and natural logarithm transformation - and assess the nutritional status of cotton plants, based on these Beaufils ranges. Yield data from plots (average acreage 100 ha) and foliar concentrations of macro and micronutrients of cotton (Gossypium hirsutum r. latifolium) plants, in the growing season 2004/2005, were stored in a database. The...

Boundary Line Model to Estimate the Nutrient Sufficiency Range in Muskmelon Leaves Rev. Bras. Ciênc. Solo
Maia,Celsemy Eleutério; Morais,Elis Regina Costa de.
ABSTRACT: The boundary line is a method frequently used to assess the nutritional status of plants when the relationship between the variables under analysis is influenced by other interacting factors. The objective of this study was to propose and test the boundary line model to estimate the nutrient sufficiency range and nutritional status of irrigated muskmelon. The lower and upper limits of the sufficiency range were calculated as a basis for assessment of the nutritional status of muskmelon. Leaf material was collected from 70 muskmelon crop areas in northern Brazil. The nutrient (N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, Fe, Zn, Mn, B, and Cu) concentrations in the leaf tissue and the respective fruit yield of each area were measured. The proposed model to estimate the...

Sánchez,Esteban; Soto-Parra,Juan Manuel; Preciado-Rangel,Pablo; Llanderal,Alfonso; Lao,María Teresa.
ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to compute and compare DRIS norms for grafted and non-grafted red bell pepper crops grown in semi arid climate conditions. DRIS norms were computed with 84 samples of first young mature leaves collected during developed stage. The experiment had a completely randomized block design, and the values obtained for each plant and each variable were considered as independent replicates. Thirty-two DRIS norms nutrient ratios and coefficients of variation (CV) were computed from N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Cu, Zn and Mn analytical results. The ratios P/N and K/N in grafted and non-grafted pepper plants, showed low CV and therefore may play a fundamental role in crop production according with the DRIS norms calculated, since as...

Lucas,Dioneia Daiane Pitol; Heldwein,Arno Bernardo; Hinnah,Fernando Dill; Maldaner,Ivan Carlos; Loose,Luis Henrique.
The aim of this study was to obtain a mathematical model for estimating the leaf area index (LAI) of a sunflower crop as a function of accumulated thermal time. Generating the models and testing their coefficients was carried out using data obtained from experiments carried out for different sowing dates in the crop years of 2007/08, 2008/09, 2009/10 and 2010/11 with two sunflower hybrids, Aguará 03 and Hélio 358. Linear leaf dimensions were used for the non-destructive measurement of the leaf area, and thermal time was used to quantify the biological time. With the data for accumulated thermal time (TTa) and LAI known for any one day after emergence, mathematical models were generated for estimating the LAI. The following models were obtained, as they...

Normas DRIS multivariadas para avaliação do estado nutricional de Pimenta-Longa. Infoteca-e
